Al-Ameen Arts, Science & Commerce College (AASCC) boys showcased exceptional talent in the All India Inter-University South Zone Hockey Tournament held at Egmore, Chennai. Representing Bengaluru City University (BCU), the team emerged victorious, securing the championship title. Out of the 18-member BCU squad, a remarkable 16 players were from AASCC, highlighting the college’s dominance in the sport. The tournament witnessed participation from over 80 teams, making the victory even more commendable.
The Al-Ameen boys delivered stellar performances throughout the tournament:- *Defeated Jain University – 5-1 (First Match)*
- *Defeated SRM University – 4-2 (Second Match)*
- *Defeated Bangalore University – 1-0 (Third Match)*
- *Defeated MSU University – 5-2 (Final Match)*
With this victory, the team has now qualified for the All India Inter-University Hockey Tournament, scheduled to be held in Uttarakhand from February 22 to February 28, 2025. This prestigious tournament will feature the top 16 teams from a total of 1,113 universities across the country. AASCC’s hockey stars have once again put their college on the national map, and all eyes will now be on their performance in Uttarakhand as they compete against India’s finest university teams.
