The department of Mathematics at Al - Ameen Arts, Science and Commerce College was established in the year 1968 with the founder HOD Prof. R. R. Durg. The Department has endeavored in its existence of over five decades in bringing quality education and imparting scientific inclination in Mathematics among the learners.

• To ultimately see that the learning of mathematics becomes more alive, vibrant, relevant and meaningful.
• To help the student build interest and confidence in learning the subject.
• To foster experimental, problem-oriented and discovery learning of mathematics.
• To remedy Math phobia through authentic learning based on hands-on experience with computers.

To provide an environment where students can learn and become competent users of mathematics and mathematical application. Moreover, the dept will contribute to the development of students as mathematical thinkers, enabling them to become lifelong learners, to continue to grow in their chosen professions and to function as productive citizens
