DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE
INTRODUCTION
The department of political science was established in 2014.
Political science is a discipline that uses different approaches, develop skills in quantitative reasoning and analytical thinking. The Greek thinker , Aristotle, defined political science as the study of the state. The scope of political scientists has been broadened to include the realm of the study of the democratic elections across the world. In other words, with the explosion in the political systems all over the world, political scientists and there scope of study has been considerably enhanced.
OBJECTIVES
- To increase understanding of basics facts and concepts about Indian political system including its history, constitutional and legal foundations, leading political values and ideas governing institutions and policy making process.
- To increase recognition of major problems the leading policies and the legal issues confronting contemporary political system particularly in India.
- To increase awareness of career options available with an undergraduates degree in political science, its utility in the public and private sectors, and its value as entry into a range of graduate programs , teaching position and legal and education.
- To increase acquisition of citizenships skills, ethical values, and the ability to understand and appreciate human diversity, and to engage community life as active citizens.

Rendering the social and political service for all the citizens of our country without making any difference regarding cast colour and culture in this modern world.
MISSION
The political science department seeds to provide students with the learning experience that will equip them to face a challenges of an increasingly complex job market and prepare them to become active and engaged citizens at the local, National and international level.
